The word cancer often strikes fear in the hearts of many people. It mainly does so because of a lack of knowledge about the disease and the portrayal of terminal clinical consequences. On a brighter note, besides the utilization of modern advanced medicine, there are available advanced home health care and natural, non-toxic methods of treating cancer. The home care professionals would constantly remind and follow-up with their patients regarding the needed preventative care.
The term cancer is associated with various diseases that are diagnosed based on where it occurs, malignant or not, and its prognosis. There are different home care methods and resources that can help a patient to contain and manage cancer more effectively. Also, understanding the mechanism of cancer is viewed as one method of fighting against deadly diseases. What are the four stages of cancer?
Stage 0: this describes cancer in the original location or cancer in situ. At this stage, cancer is identified according to the location where it initially emerged before multiplying.
Stage 1: this simply is a stage where it describes a small tumor that has not spread to the bloodstream or lymphatic system except the nearby tissue. It is also referred to as the early stages of cancer.
Stage 2 and 3: these stages indicate that the disease has embedded itself more deeply into the surrounding tissue and becomes invasive. The cancerous cells have entered the bloodstream or the lymphatic system.
Stage 4: this stage is commonly referred to as a distant spread or advanced cancer, meaning it has spread from initial sites or areas to other areas of the body. It is more difficult to treat cancer at this stage since it has advanced to other organs.
Why early detection of any cancer matter
According to World Health Organization, early detection of any cancer greatly increases the chances of successful treatments before spreading to other parts and organs in the body. The general statistics for treatable outcomes are much higher than for those who are diagnosed at late stages, as described previously in stages 2-4.
People with high risks are individuals with cancerous genes if a family member of a patient had a type of malignant cancer. Other situations of higher risks are when people who had environmental exposures, including the cancerous cause of cigarette smoking, asbestos-like working in roofing or shipyard business, or the health significance of obesity. These high-risk patients under the care of Centric Healthcare will be monitored closely.
Most malignant types of cancer
Cancer incidences and mortality studies in many countries reported that the most common types of cancer are breast cancer and lung cancer. Pancreatic cancer is considered the deadliest according to cancer incidence and mortality studies. By the time it’s located, cancer oftentimes metastasizes beyond the initial site and the victims will be deceased within a few months of diagnosis.
Home care programs such as nursing services and other healthcare providers can help remind a patient to get preventative care including colonoscopy or breasts exam at a recommended age. Centric Healthcare is such a group that offers these awesome comprehensive services.
